Quality from us to you
At Pensa Psychology, we operate strictly under:
The British Psychological Society Code of Ethics and Conduct
The Health and Care Professions Council Standards of Proficiency for Practitioner Psychologists
These two bodies provide a framework to ensure that Pensa’s services meet the very highest standards, and provides assurance of our intent and professionalism
Some psychologists – and almost all coaches - operate outside of such stringent parameters. But if you accept that your people are your greatest asset, why take a chance?
The British Psychological Society
Founded in 1901, the British Psychological Society (BPS) is a representative body for psychologists and psychology in the United Kingdom. The Society sets the standards of training for psychologists at all levels, advises government bodies and prepares policy statements. It sets and enforces the Code of Ethics and Conduct for practicing psychologists. The granting of Chartered status ensures that psychologists who carry the accolade have rigorously demonstrated their knowledge, skills, and experience in a variety of environments.
The Health and Care Professions Council
The Health and Care Profession Council (HCPC) is a statutory regulator of over 280,000 professionals from 15 health and care professions in the United Kingdom.
The main purpose of the Council is to protect the public and - by law - health and care professionals must be registered with the HCPC to work in the United Kingdom.
Practitioner psychologists registered with the HCPC must hold Chartered status with the British Psychological Society. Registered psychologists must adhere to the Council’s Standards of Proficiency for Practitioner Psychologists, and are required to complete and document Continued Professional Development.
